(100% is best)
Vittoria's Corsa Pro TLR is the go-to road bike tire for Tour de France winning World Tour teams. The Corsa Pro continues the tradition of Vittoria's cotton Corsa tires but with a vulcanized tread and other upgrades, making it a better tubeless-ready tire than previous editions of the Corsa TLR.

Our in-depth review of the 28-622 version provides more information about the Corsa Pro's new features.
In this article, we'll look at the 26-622 version of the Corsa Pro TLR, one of the most popular sizes despite the trend towards larger road bike tires. While testing multiple sizes of the same tire may seem redundant, comparing the 26 and 28 side by side can help those who need help deciding between the two sizes.
We'll cover and compare size and weight measurements, casing width and tread width, sidewall and tread thickness, rolling resistance at several air pressures, puncture resistance of the tread and sidewall, and center and edge wet grip.

The Road Bike section is a multi tire size section, air pressures have been adjusted to the measured casing width. All numbers are for a single tire at a speed of 29 km/h / 18 mph and a load of 42.5 kg / 94 lbs. Use the formula: RR (Watts) = CRR * speed (m/s) * load (N) to calculate rolling resistance at a given speed and load. |

Conclusion
- Vittoria Corsa Pro TLR 26
(100% is best)
In our tests, the 26-622 version of the Corsa Pro TLR performed nearly identically to the 28-622 version we tested earlier this year. The smaller width and lower weight of the 26-622 version seem to be the main advantages. While rolling resistance is fractionally higher and puncture resistance is fractionally lower, both fall within the margin of error of our tests.
There is a noticeable difference in sidewall thickness, but this results from the cotton tire construction and how we measure sidewall thickness. The lower part of the sidewalls is made up of two layers, while the upper part near the tread is only one layer thick. The sidewalls of the 26mm version are shorter, so the part made up of one layer is smaller, affecting our puncture test and thickness measurements.
Ultimately, choosing between the 26 or 28 mm version of the Corsa Pro comes down to personal preferences.
Compare the 26-622 and 28-622 versions of the Vittoria Corsa Pro on our comparison section.
