(100% is best)
NOTE: This Vittoria Corsa N.EXT TLR 34 was tested as a CX-Gravel tire at low air pressures. You can also find tests of the 26 mm Vittoria Corsa N.EXT TLR and 28 mm Vittoria Corsa N.EXT TLR in the road bike section.
Although the Vittoria Corsa N.EXT is technically a road bike tire, it's also very suitable for use on gravel bikes due to the availability of some larger sizes. The Corsa N.EXT TLR is available in six sizes ranging from 24-622 to 34-622 in 2 mm increments. We see the 32-622 and 34-622 as the best options for light off-roading and the 30-622 and smaller sizes for pure road bike use.

We've already tested the 26 mm and 28 mm versions of the Corsa N.EXT TLR and found them to be excellent road bike tires with an emphasis on puncture resistance and wet grip. We also tested the 32 mm version at lower air pressures as used on CX/Gravel bikes. We saw the same performance as the smaller sizes with even better grip due to the bigger size and the lower air pressure we use while testing tires that fit the CX/Gravel category.
We see the Corsa N.EXT do well as a fast gravel bike tire as wet grip and puncture resistance are far more critical for a large volume road bike tire used during the winter months, or gravel bikes that see the occasional off-road moment here and there.
We've already gone more in-depth about the Vittoria Corsa N.EXT in the 26 and 28 mm tests, so let's jump over to the test results and see how the 34-622 Corsa N.EXT TLR does when we compare it to the 32-622 Corsa N.EXT TLR and some other 32/34 mm road bike tires and a bunch of more traditional gravel bike tires.

The CX/Gravel section is a multi tire size section, air pressures have been adjusted to the measured casing width. All numbers are for a single tire at a speed of 29 km/h / 18 mph and a load of 42.5 kg / 94 lbs. Use the formula: RR (Watts) = CRR * speed (m/s) * load (N) to calculate rolling resistance at a given speed and load. |

Conclusion
- Vittoria Corsa N.EXT TLR 34
(100% is fastest - lightest - highest - strongest)
Our sample of the 34-622 Vittoria Corsa N.EXT TLR performs very similarly to the 26, 28, and 34 mm versions we tested previously. We see a slight difference compared to the 34-622 version, as our 32-622 sample performs a bit better in the puncture tests, while rolling just a bit slower. We guess some of the difference is the margin of error of the tests and normal variation between samples and sizes.
The average wet grip of the 34-622 comes in the same as the 32-622, but we see a slightly different distribution of the grip levels between the center and edges of the tire. The 34-622 version shows slightly less center grip but offers more edge grip. We again attribute this to the margin of error of the tests and the variation between samples. Another factor that might contribute here is the tire profile reinforced by the dual compound nature of the Corsa N.EXT; a bigger portion of the softer edge compound might be in contact with the test surface in the edge test.
Compared to other popular road bike tires available in the 32 mm and up sizes, the Corsa N.EXT TLR performs stronger in the puncture resistance tests and very strong in the wet grip tests. It rolls slower than the fastest tires, which trade strength and grip for rolling performance.
