- Tufo Endurance 7TR 28
(100% is best)
The Tufo Endurance 7TR is the latest addition to Tufo's lineup, and it comes with a new innovative construction, Tufo's latest compound, and is hookless compatible. Tufo has been releasing a lot of tires lately, and they now have an extensive range that comes with challenging names. Choosing the right tire for the job based on the information from Tufo's website can be somewhat confusing.
The Endurance 7TR continues this tradition as the Endurance part suggests this is a tire that isn't made for absolute speed but should offer good puncture resistance and durability. The naming is the only bit of criticism we have on this tire, as our tests indicate the Endurance 7TR is now Tufo's fastest road bike tire, and it's more of a racing tire than an endurance tire.
Tufo claims the Endurance 7TR delivers top performance thanks to the new casing construction and a new compound with an innovative combination of nano silica and carbon black. Combining those key ingredients results in a tire with maximum adhesion and stability, even at low air pressures. We can already confirm Tufo's claims as the Endurance 7TR is fast yet is one of the best grippers in our wet grip test.
The Endurance 7TR is currently only available in the 700x28c size, but you can choose between beige or black sidewalls. We've tested the black version, and our test results are below.

The Road Bike section is a multi tire size section, air pressures have been adjusted to the measured casing width. All numbers are for a single tire at a speed of 29 km/h / 18 mph and a load of 42.5 kg / 94 lbs. Use the formula: RR (Watts) = CRR * speed (m/s) * load (N) to calculate rolling resistance at a given speed and load. |

Conclusion
- Tufo Endurance 7TR 28
(100% is best)
In our opinion, the Tufo Endurance 7TR is simply an excellent all-around, or even racing, road bike tire, not an endurance tire. This is Tufo's fastest road bike tire that we've tested to date, and both the puncture resistance and tread thickness are comparable to the Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR (read our review). The Endurance 7TR rolls a bit slower than the Grand Prix 5000 S TR, but you get a huge amount of wet grip in return.
The Endurance 7TR is also very close in performance to the Pirelli P Zero Race TLR RS (read our review) we tested a few weeks back. The tread width on the Endurance 7TR is also impressive, and this is an area where Tufo consistently makes a different choice than most of the other manufacturers.
We're impressed by Tufo's Endurance 7TR and how they, as a small manufacturer, are able to outperform the competition.
