(100% is best)
Enve is best known as a manufacturer of high-end bicycle equipment, and it is a relatively new entry when it comes to bicycle tires. We already tested their tubeless SES Road Tire (read review) back in 2020, and they've now introduced an even faster tire for when every second counts: the SES Raceday.
The name of this tire makes it clear that it is optimized for speed, where puncture resistance and durability are of secondary importance. The specifications show that the SES Raceday is one of the lightest tubeless tires on the market, especially when considering the volume that this tire delivers. With the latest tubeless tires, we are slowly moving back toward the weight of tube-type tires.
Enve does not provide much information about the Raceday, but they mention using a new construction and a "nano-technology enhanced" rubber compound. We do not know to what extent the Raceday is still the same as the original SES Road Tire that we tested in 2020, but our test results will fully clarify the differences.
The Raceday is available in 27 mm and 29 mm versions, and we tested the 29 mm version. Unfortunately, in 2020, we tested the 25 mm version of the SES Road Tire (read review), and this difference in tire size will make the comparison a bit more challenging. We have also added a selection of the fastest road bike tires from our database for comparison.

The Road Bike section is a multi tire size section, air pressures have been adjusted to the measured casing width. All numbers are for a single tire at a speed of 29 km/h / 18 mph and a load of 42.5 kg / 94 lbs. Use the formula: RR (Watts) = CRR * speed (m/s) * load (N) to calculate rolling resistance at a given speed and load. |

Conclusion
- Enve SES Raceday 29
(100% is best)
The Enve SES Raceday is a unique tire that combines a very low rolling resistance with surprisingly good puncture resistance and extreme wet grip (best edge grip to date) in our wet grip test. The SES Raceday is not the absolute fastest road bike tire on earth, but when we weigh all the results, we can only conclude that this is a 5-star tire that comes out on top if you don't want to go all-out in terms of puncture resistance and wet grip.
Additional benefits are its very low weight, wide tread, and excellent air retention. We still don't quite understand how all this is possible with a tubeless tire weighing 214 grams that measures almost 30 mm wide.
It is an expensive tire, but in our opinion, it delivers.
